Sunsets

As I watch the sun sink low, I wait upon the night to fall
I breathe in peace for I know, He will keep me safe from harm
He comes to me in the night, to keep watch over me as I sleep
He is with me in the fight, and hears my broken heart as I weep
Today I lost another battle, but I'll do better tomorrow
Just getting back up into the saddle, when I'd just rather wallow in sorrow
It takes guts to slice me open, but courage to overcome
For I have been forgiven of my sin, and I've been ushered in to come
So as the orange fades to violet, and indigo is freckled with white
I will not allow my soul to fret, for I am in Christ's arms tonight
